Completion of the training course on translation principles and research.
CSRS delivered a 6-month training program on professional translation and research in Kabul, Afghanistan
The Center for Strategic and Regional Studies (CSRS) has completed a six-month training program titled “Principles of Professional Translation and Research ” on 30 June 2024.
The program was initiated in January and consisted of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, with a greater emphasis on the practical aspect.
During the first three months, Course teachers Dr. Abdul Sabour Fakhri and Dr. Shah Rukh Raufi presented the various methods of professional translation to the program participants. In addition, Dr. Abdul Samad Mushtaq and Dr. Seyed Ali Iqbal taught the research principles in this phase.
During the second phase, also lasting three months, participants were given assignments to translate two significant books as group projects, using the knowledge and skills they had gained during the first three months of the program:
- From Awakening to Vigilance: A Strategy of Cognition for Mobility
- Contemplating the Holy Qur’an, between theory and application
As part of the practical work for research, program participants have done research on various topics and produced 29 scientific articles, several of which were well-received during presentations.
The graduation ceremony took place on July 25, 2024, attended by Shah Rukh Raufi, Executive Director of the CSRS, and professors Abdul Sabour Fakhri and Abdul Samad Mushtaq, among other guests. Certificates were awarded to 105 participants, and commemorative shields were presented to the professors for their contributions.
